Use of computers and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) coupled with custom software development for rich user experience enabling pharmaceutical companies and investigators across the globe to embrace Electronic Data Collection (EDC) efforts, Adverse Events Tracking and Reporting through to the electronic submissions adopting standards during the Clinical Trials phases. Handling drug discovery data and toxicology in pre-clinical tests/trials space, handling Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analysis data in these realms, handling data via paper and Electronic Data Capture for Phase-I, II, III, IV trials and advanced/post marketing clinical trials, Adverse Events data, Reporting and paper/electronic (as per standards and harmonization rules) submissions to Regulatory bodies in the Pharmacovigilance space are some of the areas to be mentioned in the pharmaceutical spectrum. In the Medical and Biotechnology areas, the effort has been towards porting and handling some of the core algorithms to be available from enterprise' intranet browsers such as rendering of Computer Aided Diagnostics images on to the web browser and others.
